About
Mohammad Ali Chowdhury was posted to the Feni area in 1762 and built roads, tanks and this mosque. It is a typical provincial Mughal design: an oblong hall under three domes, octagonal turrets at the corners, arched entrances and rectangular panels in plaster on the walls. The Archaeology Department lists it, and the village around Sharshadi keeps it as its jame mosque.
Getting there: CNG from Feni town toward Sharshadi, about 20 minutes.
Things to do
- Compare it with Chand Gazi's mosque, fifty years older.
