Known for

Tanks and a tiger of the marshes.
Feni's old places are its dighis: the Bijoy Singha tank by the circuit house, the Rajajhir dighi the town was built around, and the tanks and fort site of Shamsher Gazi, the 18th-century rebel who ruled Roshnabad and died fighting in 1760. The Mughal mosques of Chand Gazi Bhuiyan at Chhagalnaiya and Mohammad Ali Chowdhury at Sharshadi are the two protected buildings.

The river border.
The Feni and Muhuri rivers come down from Tripura, and the Muhuri project's barrage at Sonagazi, with its wind turbines and the open water behind it, is the district's one big open-air outing.
Best season
GoodFairNov–Feb
November to February, as everywhere on the plain: the tank banks are walkable and the Muhuri project is pleasant in the evening. The monsoon floods the Muhuri basin and the border rivers; the 2024 flood put much of the district under water, so avoid August and September for the riverside.
