About

Shoilo Propat is a few minutes from the road down a stair: a stream spreading over tilted rock into pools, loud from June to October and a trickle in winter. The Bawm women of the village sell handwoven cloth, fruit and pickles at the roadside stalls, which is half the reason to stop. The rocks are polished and slippery, and the stream rises fast in rain.

Getting there: Any Thanchi-road vehicle from town, 20 minutes.

Things to do

  • Buy Bawm cloth and fruit at the stalls above.

Good to know

  • Keep off the wet rock; people slip every season.
