About

A local merchant, Yasin Mirza, built the mosque in his home village after seeing the buildings of Kolkata on his travels; the groundwork began in 1924. Also called the Raipur Boro Masjid, it mixes domes, minarets and carved detail on a scale unusual for a village, and stands right at the riverside.

Getting there: By road from Sunamganj town towards Shantiganj (Pagla bazar).
