About
Unlike the hill gardens of Sylhet, tea here grows on level ground, in estates and in smallholders' plots right up to the roadside and the border fence. The neat green rows stretch to the horizon, with shade trees and the occasional view of the hills beyond.
Walk the paths between the bushes, ideally in the morning when pickers are at work, and ask before entering a private garden.
Getting there: Along the Tetulia–Banglabandha road; any bus or auto stops on request.
Things to do
- Walk a garden path in the morning plucking hours.
Good to know
- Gardens are private: ask at the gate.
