- First rocks museum in the country
About
The collection began with rocks gathered from the riverbeds and soil of Panchagarh, which sits on the gravel fans below the Himalaya. Inside and in the yard are boulders, polished stones, petrified wood, old boats and household objects of the area.
It takes little time and gives a good sense of why the district's rivers are full of stone. Ask on arrival if it is closed; the college staff can often open it.
Getting there: In Panchagarh town, a short auto ride from the centre.
Things to do
- See the boulders and the petrified wood.
Good to know
- Go on a weekday during college hours.
