About

A marker and the last kilometre post of the national highway stand at the zero point, beside the land port that handles trade with India, Nepal and Bhutan. People come to stand at the very top of the country and take the photo.

You can look across the fence but cannot cross without a passport and visa. The drive up from Tetulia passes tea gardens and the Mahananda.

Getting there: Bus or auto from Tetulia, about half an hour north.
