About

Maths are memorial towers raised over a cremation site, and Bikrampur has many; Shyamsiddhi's is the giant among them. It rises in a tapering octagon from a base about 21 feet across, above the village roofs.

It is not restored, and plaster and brick are falling away, so view it from outside. It is a short detour from the Mawa road.

Getting there: From Sreenagar on the Mawa expressway, an auto to Shyamsiddhi village.

Things to do

  • Stand at the base and look up.

Good to know

  • Keep clear of the base walls; bricks fall.
