About
An Arabic inscription says Malik Kafur built it in 1483, in the reign of Sultan Jalaluddin Fath Shah. Six domes in two rows sit on stone pillars over a brick hall, and the walls carry terracotta panels.
Prayers are still held here, and the Archaeology Department has cared for it since 1948. It stands in old Rampal, once the Sena capital of Bikrampur.
Getting there: Auto or rickshaw from Munshiganj town toward Rampal, about 20 minutes.
Things to do
- Look for the terracotta plaques on the outer walls.
Good to know
- A working mosque: dress modestly and avoid prayer times.
