About

The 1974 land agreement between the two countries promised the corridor; it took until 1992 for it to open, at first for a few hours a day. Today you cross a short road with Indian territory and fences on both sides, then enter Dahagram-Angarpota, a Bangladeshi island of villages, fields and its own hospital surrounded by India.

It is a calm, rural place; the interest is in seeing how a border shapes ordinary life. Carry your national ID.

Getting there: Bus or train to Patgram, then an auto to the corridor.

Things to do

  • Cross the corridor on foot or by rickshaw.
  • See the border pillars at Angarpota.

Good to know

  • Stay on the road inside the corridor and follow BGB instructions; never step towards the fence.
