About
Locals long knew the patch of wild ground as Majder Ara; clearing it uncovered old foundations and the inscribed brick. The dating is a claim rather than an established fact, but it has made the site well known, and a new mosque, renamed Sahaba-e-Keram Mosque, now stands beside the ruins.
The site is a short way off the Rangpur–Kurigram highway, easy to combine with a day in Lalmonirhat town.
Getting there: About 1 km south of the Rangpur–Kurigram highway; auto from Lalmonirhat town.
