About
Founded by citizens in 1996 in a house in Segunbagicha, the museum moved to its own purpose-built home at Agargaon in 2017. Its galleries go from the history of Bengal to the movements of the 1950s and 1960s, the genocide of 1971 and the war itself.
Some rooms are hard to see, with photographs and remains from the killings; it is an essential visit to understand the country.
Getting there: Metro to Agargaon, then a short walk.
