About
The lake runs between Tejgaon, Gulshan, Rampura and Moghbazar. A project finished in the early 2010s cleaned its banks and added roads, bridges, an amphitheatre and walkways, turning it into one of the few open spaces in the city.
The bridges are lit at night, and water taxis cross the lake between landings. Weekend evenings are the liveliest.
Getting there: Car or ride-hailing to Police Plaza, FDC or Rampura.
Things to do
- Ride a water taxi across, then walk a bridge at dusk.
Good to know
- Cross the ring road only at the marked crossings; traffic is fast.
