About
The temple stands near Lalbagh in a walled compound with a main shrine, a row of small Shiva temples and a pond. Its origin is old and wrapped in legend; the buildings have been rebuilt and repaired many times.
It is busiest during Durga Puja, when the city's largest celebration is held here. At other times it is a quiet place to visit with respect.
Getting there: Rickshaw from Lalbagh or Palashi, a few minutes.
Things to do
- Visit during Durga Puja to see the festival at its biggest.
