About

The mosque was built in the 18th century by Mirza Golam Pir. In the early 20th century a local merchant had it enlarged and covered with mosaic made from broken china, with stars on the domes that give it its name.

It is an active mosque; visitors are welcome outside prayer times if dressed modestly.

Getting there: Rickshaw to Abul Khairat Road, Armanitola.

Things to do

  • Look closely at the china mosaic inside and out.

Good to know

  • Women should cover their heads; avoid prayer times.
