About
Tradition on the shrine's own board says Rasti Shah was born in Baghdad in 1238 and came to this part of Bengal to preach; he is counted among the early Sufi missionaries of the region, and the town of Shahrasti grew around his grave. The mazar complex has a mosque, a pond and the graves of his followers, and the urs fills the grounds with pilgrims and a fair.
Getting there: Shahrasti is on the Cumilla–Chandpur road past Hajiganj; bus or CNG, then a rickshaw.
Things to do
- Ask the date of the urs if you want the fair.
