Tarua is about 150 km from Bhola town: some 135 km by road and then a boat over the last stretch. The reward is a beach with almost nobody on it, the full width of the Bay in front and mangroves behind.

It is usually combined with Char Kukri Mukri, nearby. In winter the flats fill with migrant birds.

Getting there: Road to Char Fasson, then a boat for the last 15 km.

  • Walk the empty beach and watch the birds on the flats.
