About
Dhal Char sits among the islands of the Meghna delta where the river meets the sea. It draws researchers and travellers for the same reason: it is far from everything, and the sea is slowly eating its shore.
Visiting means a long boat trip from Char Fasson and, usually, a night on the island. Go only in the calm winter months.
Getting there: From Char Fasson by trawler or speedboat.
Things to do
- Walk the beach and the forest edge at low tide.
Good to know
- Do not go when a cyclone signal is up.
