About

Rijuk is the fall you see without walking. Boats from Ruma bazar go down the Sangu for half an hour to where the stream drops off the cliff into the river; you can land on the rocks at the foot and stand in the spray. It is on the way between Bandarban and Ruma by river, and boatmen combine it with the villages along the bank. In winter it thins but does not stop.

Getting there: Boat from Ruma bazar ghat, 30 minutes downstream.

Things to do

  • Land at the foot and stand in the spray.

Good to know

  • Life jacket on the boat; the Sangu runs fast here after rain.
