The Chalan Beel spreads across parts of Sirajganj, Pabna and Natore. After the rains the low land fills and villages stand like islands; boats are the way around.

In the dry months the water draws back to channels and the land is farmed, and winter brings migratory birds.

Getting there: Bus or CNG from Hatikumrul to Tarash, then a boat.
