About
The mosque stands in a quiet green yard in the Khondokar Tola quarter of Sherpur, about 20 km south of Bogura town. Its thin red bricks are laid in lime, the walls are close to two metres thick, and heavy corner towers hold it up; much of the carved brick has worn away.
It is still used for prayer, so visit outside prayer times and dress modestly.
Getting there: Bus or CNG to Sherpur on the Dhaka road, then a rickshaw.
Things to do
- Look at the corner towers and the worn brick panels.
Good to know
- Stop on the way between Dhaka and Bogura.
