About

Built up from many walled cells filled with earth, the mound rises in steps like a platform; archaeologists read it as the base of a temple or stupa. The legend is what brings people: this is where Lakhindar was bitten on his wedding night.

Climb the brick terraces for a view over the green countryside around Mahasthangarh.

Getting there: A few kilometres south of Mahasthangarh by rickshaw or CNG.

Things to do

  • Climb the terraces and look over the fields.
