About

Inani is what people mean when they say the beach is beautiful. Dark coral boulders lie along the tide line, the sand is clean, the hills come close, and there are fewer stalls and fewer people. At low tide the rocks are exposed and full of small life; at high tide the water comes up to them.

It grew into a resort stretch in the 2010s, with hotels set back from the sand. Beyond it the marine drive continues south past Patuartek and Shamlapur toward Teknaf, emptier still.

Getting there: Marine drive from town, about 45 minutes by CNG or car; the Teknaf bus stops on the road.

Things to do

  • Walk the rocks at low tide.

Good to know

  • Check the tide; the rocks are slippery when wet.
