About
Mohanpur is a private resort park built on the Meghna bank where the Dhaka launches pass. It has landscaped grounds, rides for children, restaurants, cottages and speedboats on the river; the point is the water, which is a kilometre or more wide here with the launches and sand barges going by. It is a day out for Chandpur and Cumilla families rather than a sight.
Getting there: Launch from Chandpur ghat (about an hour) or bus to Matlab North then CNG.
Things to do
- Take a speedboat out onto the Meghna.

- Crowded on Fridays.
