About
The bridge's curved steel spans have been the picture of Sylhet for generations. Vehicles no longer cross it, which makes it one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the country and a pleasant evening walk.
From the middle you see the Surma, the boats below and the clock tower on the north bank; the riverside around it fills with people after sunset.
Getting there: In the city centre, a short rickshaw ride from Zindabazar.
Things to do
- Walk across at sunset and see the clock tower lit up.
Good to know
- Combine with Ali Amjad's clock; they stand side by side.
