About
Built in the 1870s, when few people owned a watch, the tower gave the town its time. It is counted among the oldest clock towers in Bangladesh, a modest structure with a clock face on each side under a small dome.
It appears in nearly every photograph of the riverfront and opens almost every film set in Sylhet.
Getting there: At the north end of the Keane Bridge, in the city centre.
Things to do
- Photograph it with the bridge from the riverbank.
Good to know
- The view is best from the south bank or the bridge.
