About
From July to October the beel is open water to the horizon, with villages on raised mounds, fishing boats and nets. In the dry months the water drains to channels and the land is farmed; winter brings migratory birds to the remaining water.
The Natore side is best reached through Singra and Gurudaspur, where you can hire a boat for a few hours.
Getting there: Bus or CNG from Natore to Singra, about 30 minutes, then a boat.
Things to do
- Take a boat out from Singra in the late afternoon.
Good to know
- Wear a life jacket; the water is deep in the rains.
