About
For half the year the fields around Nikli lie under water. The villages stand on raised mounds and become islands, and everything moves by boat.
Visitors come mostly in the rains, hiring a boat at Nikli to cross the open water, watch the fishermen and stop at a village. In the dry months the same land is rice fields.
Getting there: About an hour by CNG or bus from Kishoreganj town to Nikli.
Things to do

- Stay for the sunset over the water.
Good to know
- Wear a life jacket and avoid the water in storms; haor waves rise fast.
