About

Opened in 1989 beside the Police Lines road, the zoo keeps deer, monkeys, birds and some big animals among old trees. It is mostly a family outing: a lake with paddle boats, a children's corner and food stalls, busy on Fridays and holidays.

Getting there: In the city near the district offices, by rickshaw.

Things to do

  • Go in the morning when the animals are about.
