About
The temple belongs to the Rakhine community that settled this coast long ago. A tall image of the Buddha sits inside, and the building and its gate are painted in the bright style of the Rakhine temples of Myanmar.
It is a short walk or van ride from the beach and makes a quiet break between the sunrise and the sunset. Rakhine weaving shops nearby sell cloth woven on hand looms.
Getting there: In Kuakata town, a few minutes from the beach by van.
