About

The Fish Museum & Biodiversity Centre opened in 2009 in space given by Bangladesh Agricultural University, built in partnership with the University of Stirling's aquaculture institute. Its aim is to encourage sustainable fishing, and by the size and range of its collection it is counted among the largest centres of its kind in South and South-East Asia.

It sits on the same campus as the botanical garden and the Bijoy '71 sculpture, so it fits into a half-day there.

Getting there: On the Bangladesh Agricultural University campus, 5 km south-east of the town centre.
