About

Mir Mosharraf Hossain was born at Lahinipara and is one of the first major Muslim prose writers in Bangla. Little of the old house survives, but the site is kept by the government as a memorial.

A library and auditorium were added in 2008. It is a short, quiet visit that fits well with Shilaidaha and Lalon's akhra, all in the same upazila.

Getting there: Easy-bike or CNG from Kushtia town towards Kumarkhali.

Things to do

  • Visit the library and the memorial plaques.

Good to know
