The old municipal park in the heart of Khulna, set up after the municipality was founded in 1884, with the city's Shaheed Minar.

The park on P. C. Ray Road was renamed Gandhi Park after Mahatma Gandhi spoke here, and later named for Shaheed Hadis, killed in the 1969 uprising. Today it is a green square with a pond and the central Shaheed Minar, busy on 21 February.

A good short stop while walking the old centre.
