About
The Tagores trace their line to Panchanan Kushari of Pithabhog, whose descendants moved to Kolkata. The homestead is recognised as an archaeological site, with a bakul tree at its heart.
It is a modest village site; come for the story rather than buildings.
Getting there: Cross the Rupsha and go by CNG to Pithabhog.
Things to do
- Sit under the bakul tree.
Good to know
- Ask locally for the way; the village roads are narrow.
