About

The odd name, "beheaded", may come from the broken state the building was in before the dig. Excavation uncovered thick walls and stone pillars, and the mosque was rebuilt with six domes in the style linked to Khan Jahan Ali; fragments with Arabic and Persian writing were found here.

The tank on its north side is old too, and local belief credits it to Khan Jahan's time. The mosque stands about a hundred metres from Jor Bangla, so the two are seen together.

Getting there: At Barobazar, by the road to Taherpur; a short van ride from the bazar.
