A single banyan near Kaliganj whose aerial roots have grown into a grove covering acres, often called one of the largest in Asia.

From outside it looks like a small wood; inside, every trunk turns out to be a root of the same tree. The site is protected, with paths under the canopy, and it is one of the best-known sights of the district.
It is cool and shaded even in summer, which makes it the one Jhenaidah outing that works outside winter.
Getting there: Bus to Kaliganj, then an easy-bike to Mallikpur.
