About

The park covers about 3,800 acres of forest set aside for it, and is laid out in sections: the core safari, which you see from a park bus with animals roaming outside the windows, and walking areas with aviaries, a butterfly garden, zebras, giraffes, elephants and a hanging bridge.

It is the most visited attraction in the district and gets very busy on Fridays and holidays, when the safari bus queue can be long. Some exhibits close for a weekly day off, so check before you go.

Getting there: Bus up the Mymensingh highway to Bagher Bazar or Mawna, then a CNG to the gate.

Things to do

  • Do the safari bus first, before the queue builds.

Good to know

  • Arrive at opening time on a weekday; bring water, the walking areas are spread out.
