Munshiganj and Nildumur face the forest across tidal rivers. Boats, forest permits and guards are arranged here, and even from the bank you see the mangroves on the far side.

The area was hit hard by cyclone Aila in 2009; embankments and rebuilt villages show it.

Getting there: Bus from Satkhira town to Shyamnagar, then on to Munshiganj.
