A sal forest around the district's largest tank, right on the Indian border at Dhamoirhat, declared a national park in 2011.

- 2011
- Area
- About 264 hectares
About
The long tank, about 55 acres of water, is lined with old sal trees on one side; the forest around it covers some 264 hectares. Paths lead through the trees past termite mounds, and there is a watchtower. Jungle fowl, jackals, civets and monitor lizards live here, and in winter the tank draws water birds.
It is a quiet, green break from the ruins, and an easy pair with Jagaddala Mahavihara a few kilometres away.
Getting there: Bus from Naogaon town to Dhamoirhat, then a CNG or van to the park.
Things to do
- Walk the bank under the sal trees and climb the watchtower.
Good to know
- The border is close: keep to the park paths.
